We are looking for Computer Science PhD students to pursue research in areas of high interest to the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Division. Topic areas include but are not limited to: cyber security, data fusion, data mining, on-demand/cloud computing, situational awareness, and visualization. Our project collaborates with partners like the Purdue University/DHS (Department of Homeland Security) Science and Technology Center of Excellence partner Visual Analytics for Command, Control, and Interoperability Environments (VACCINE) and Miami-Dade County Emergency Management to provide researcher with real world challenges relevant to DHS science and technology mission and represent problems of meaningful societal concern.
Highly competitive scholarship will be provided. The awardees will also benefit from job placement opportunities from our partner network and particularly be assisted on employment at a DHS-approved scientific or engineering venue.
